Of course, it has elicited a strong reaction from fans, some of whom have even claimed that he will eventually go back on that promise and sign another big deal. But if this is truly his last ever contract, then he will walk away having made big money.

How much is Tyreek Hill's current contract worth?

Hill signed his new contract with the Dolphins in 2022, the same day he was traded from Kansas City. The contract is worth $120 million, with $72.2 million of it guaranteed. He also received a $52.5 million bonus upon signing.

The aforementioned contract is the biggest ever given to a wide receiver, at least in terms of the annual average. Davante Adams beats it by total amount, however.

Just five days before Hill was traded and extended, Adams accepted a five-year, $141.25 million extension upon arriving in Green Bay. His deal would pay him $28 million annually, after taking bonuses into account.

2022 marked a major milestone in Tyreek Hill's career. He set new career highs in receptions and receiving yards, catching 119 passes for 1,710 yards. Even with Tua Tagovailos sitting out games because of a concussion, he continued to play in peak form and made his seventh straight Pro Bowl in as many seasons.

But without Tagovailoa to guide him, the 9-8 Dolphins fell to divisional rival Buffalo Bills in the Wild Card Round 31-34. Now entering the first year of what he says will be his last-ever deal, it will be interesting to see how he performs over the next four seasons.
