Why Stephen King is pumped up for 49ers vs Eagles this weekend
The San Francisco 49ers matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles is going to be a fantastic game between the NFC's top two teams with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line. It's also going to have renowned author Stephen King in the audience, too.
King has a book that's being made into a movie, which is no surprise. The trailer for it will reportedly come out during the NFC Championship Game this Sunday.
King tweeted:
"Looking forward to seeing the trailer for THE BOOGEYMAN, based on my story. I'm told it will run during the NFC championship game this coming Sunday."
The Boogeyman is a 2023 horror film from director Rob Savage. It's written by Scott Beck, Bryan Woods and Mark Heyman and is based on the 1978 short story of the same name, written by Stephen King.
The short story in question follows a character named Lester Billings who is currently seeing a psychiatrist because he believes the Boogeyman is haunting him and killed all three of his kids, which all happened mysteriously.
Tune in to 49ers-Eagles on Sunday to get the first look at the new trailer.
Odds for 49ers-Eagles NFC Championship Game
The Philadelphia Eagles were the NFC's best team all year long and that has stayed true in the postseason with a dominant win over the New York Giants. They'll now host the San Francisco 49ers, who are the NFL's hottest team right now.
The matchup will feature Jalen Hurts, an MVP candidate, and Brock Purdy, the final selection from the 2022 NFL Draft.
Right now, oddsmakers aren't expecting a blowout. This game figures to be a tight one and the odds reflect that. At home, the Eagles are slight 2.5-point favorites.
These two teams both feature dynamic rushing attacks with great wide receivers. They also feature two of the league's best defenses, so this matchup will be one to watch.
It will be interesting to see if the Eagles defense is the one that can figure out Brock Purdy and make him look more like a seventh-round draft pick than any defense before has.
