Why did Terry Bradshaw give away his Super Bowl rings? Steelers legend makes stunning revelation

Terry Bradshaw has given away all of his Super Bowl rings. Many athletes will sell their Super Bowl rings for various reasons, including if they need money after their careers have ended and the NFL paycheck isn't coming in anymore.

This is not the case for Bradshaw and his $45 million net worth. He's been working with FOX as a broadcaster for a long time as well. Bradshaw gave away his, not even for a profit.

He decided to give them to his alma mater, Louisiana Tech. Unlike a lot of Hall of Fame quarterbacks, Bradshaw didn't go to a big school.

What did Terry Bradshaw say about his Super Bowl rings?

Bradshaw said on FOX:

"They're in a box — it's a small school — so athletes can come in and look at that and go, 'Well, if he could do it, I can do it.' Because they'll find you anywhere."

Bradshaw hopes his gesture will prove to athletes at the school that they can do anything. It would probably surprise many pre-1970 fans of the NFL that a Louisiana Tech player would become a Hall of Famer.

Louisiana Tech isn't a big producer for the NFL, so Bradshaw's story could be very inspiring for aspiring athletes. Nevertheless, Bradshaw felt the rings would serve those athletes better than himself.

Additionally, he added that his daughters can go get them back whenever they want, but he doesn't believe they'll have any reason to do that.

How many Super Bowl rings does Terry Bradshaw have?

Over his illustrious and eventual Hall of Fame career, Terry Bradshaw won four Super Bowl rings as part of the Pittsburgh Steelers' dynasty.

His first ring came in 1975, when the Steelers topped the Minnesota Vikings. He won again in 1976 over the Dallas Cowboys.

Bradshaw took home the Lombardi Trophy in 1979 by once again defeating the Cowboys. He repeated again in 1980 by emerging victorious over the now-Los Angeles Rams.

Bradshaw earned those four rings over a 10-year span after being drafted, cementing himself as one of the all-time great players in the NFL.
