The Tampa Bay Lightning is a professional ice hockey team, competing in the NHL since 1992. Affectionately known as Bolts, they represent the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference. Moreover, the Amalie Arena has been serving as their home arena since 1996. Moreover, they have played a total of 31 seasons and reached the playoffs 16 times. Notably, they won their first playoff series in 2003, which culminated with a Stanley Cup Championship triumph the following year. This was followed by some lean seasons before resurgence in the mid 2010s which included a memorable run to the Stanley Cup finals in 2014-15 before claiming two back-to-back Stanley Cup Championships in 2020 and 2021. Furthermore, they have claimed four Conference and Division Championships each and a solidarity Presidents' Trophy in 2018-19. The Lightning will look to add a fourth Stanley Cup Championship to their collection when they take the field in the 2023-24 playoffs.

Tampa Bay Lightning Regular Season 2023-24 Schedule

The Tampa Bay Lightning are all set for the 2024-2025 NHL season, set to begin with their season opener against the Carolina Hurricanes on October 11. This season carries extra significance after the departure of long-time captain and fan favorite, Steven Stamkos.

The Lightning will start the season on the road in Raleigh, North Carolina, facing off against the Hurricanes. Just one day later, on October 12, the Bolts will return to Tampa for their highly anticipated home opener at AMALIE Arena, where they’ll once again take on Carolina. Following their October home opener, the Bolts will enjoy a home-heavy schedule throughout November, with 7 out of 12 games played in Tampa, including notable tilts against the Washington Capitals, New York Rangers, and the Vegas Golden Knights, the reigning Stanley Cup champions. Tampa Bay will close out its regular season on April 13, 2025, against the Detroit Red Wings at AMALIE Arena.

Tampa Bay Lightning key dates 2023-24

The Lightning’s longest road trip will be five games in mid-January, taking them through the Central Division with stops in Chicago, Minnesota, and Colorado, where they’ll face the always-formidable Avalanche. One of the most important dates is October 28, when the Lightning face the Nashville Predators where they will face Steven Stamkos who will play against the Lightning.

Former Lightning defenseman Mikhail Sergachev will make his return to AMALIE Arena with the Utah Hockey Club on March 27. The Lightning will also face 13 back-to-back sets, with critical divisional matchups throughout, including Boston, Florida, and Toronto.
