Vancouver Canucks Division History

When the Vancouver Canucks joined the NHL in 1970, they faced a tough start. For the first four seasons, they struggled and often finished near the bottom of their division. However, in the 1974- 75 season, the Canucks showed improvement, winning their first division title. Although they were eliminated in the opening round of the playoffs by the Montreal Canadiens. The Canucks made four playoff appearances in the six seasons between 1975-76 and 1980-81. However, they were eliminated in the preliminary round each time. In the 1981-82 season, despite finishing with a losing record in the regular season, they managed to advance to the Stanley Cup finals. Unfortunately, they were swept in four games by the New York Islanders. Notably, they have ten division championships to their name.
