Early Life
Thompson attended Saint Marguerite d'Youville Secondary School where he played high school basketball for St. Marcellinus Secondary School before transferring to Findlay Prep – a renowned preparatory school based in Henderson, Nevada, before his senior year of high school.
He started showing brilliance in basketball during his school days and was sought by the top basketball programs in the country.
His NBA Journey
After leaving prep school with one-year playing experience at University of Texas under coach Rick Barnes; Tristan decided to declare himself eligible for the 2011 NBA draft despite being projected as mid-first round pick but later got picked fourth overall by Cleveland Cavaliers team after Kyrie Irving which became his entry point into NBA league since then onwards.
Tristan Thompson Championships
Tristan won his first and so far only NBA Championship with the team that had drafted him - the Cleveland Cavaliers. Tristan along with his teammates, notably Kevin Love, Kyrie Irving, and LeBron James made history as they brought home Cleveland's first championship ever since the NBA began.

Tristan Thompson's Contract
Thompson was drafted fourth overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2011 NBA draft. He played for them for nine seasons before being traded to Boston Celtics in November 2020. He then signed with Sacramento Kings in August 2021 but was waived before playing a game for them.
He signed with Indiana Pacers in September 2021 but was traded to Atlanta Hawks in February 2022. He was waived by Atlanta Hawks on March 4, 2022 and signed with Chicago Bulls on March 7, 2022.
He played for them until he was waived on October 17, 2022 and then signed with Los Angeles Lakers on October 20, 2022.
