5 of the best PvP Pokemon players can find during Pokemon GO's Legendary Heroes event
1) Kommo-o
Kommo-o is a decent battler in every tier of play in Pokemon GO, with it seeing the most success in the Ultra League. This is due to its strong offensive type combination, which makes it one of the best counters to Dragon- or Steel-type critters in any tier's metagame. However, it tends to fall flat in the presence of Fairy-type Pocket Monsters due to its double weakness to the element.
Kommo-o's base form, Jangmo-o, can be found in One-Star Raid Battles. While this may make it difficult to farm candies for, players can easily find one with higher IVs through these fights. Afterwards, they can passively farm for candies by registering Jangmo-o as their Buddy Pokemon.
2) Goodra
Goodra may not have been the best Pseudo-Legendary creature at the time of its release in Nintic's mobile game, but it has gotten much better following the update to its movepool for its species' Community Day event. This added Aqua Tail to its arsenal, giving it great coverage and a spammable damaging option.

Goodra's base form, Goomy, can only be found in One-Star Raid Battles during Legendary Heroes, much like Jangmo-o. It may also be difficult to get Aqua Tail on Goodra, as it requires an Elite Charged TM to access, given that it is a move from a previous event. Nevertheless, it will prove to be worth the effort as it is viable in every tier of play.
3) Galarian Weezing
Galarian Weezing is the only Poison- and Fairy-type critter in Pokemon GO at the time of writing. Due to its high defenses, it has great survivability in the Great and Ultra tiers of play. It also has access to some impressive coverage options like Overheat and Brutal Swing, further adding to its offensive utility.
Koffing, Galarian Weezing's pre-evolved form, will be fairly easily to come by during Legendary Heroes as it can be commonly found in the wild. However, it should be noted that Koffing will only evolve into Galarian Weezing during the event. Evolving one before or right after will result in a Kantonian Weezing, the pure Poison-type critter fans have known since the Kanto region.
4) Scrafty
Scrafty is a Dark- and Fighting-type Pokemon with high bulk and access to Power-up Punch. This has allowed it to soar in popularity in tiers filled with Steel-type critters, while also fitting within its relatively low combat power score.
For this reason, Scrafty is a serious threat in the Great and UItra tiers of Pokemon GO's Battle League.

Players can encounter Scraggy, Scrafty's pre-evolved form, in the wild after selecting the Sword Path for their timed research. However, they will need to use an Incense in order to get it to appear.
Under optimal weather conditions, trainers should have no trouble finding enough candies to evolve their Scraggy of choice.
5) Zacian
Zacian is returning to Pokemon GO during the Legendary Heroes event as a limited-time Five-Star Raid Boss. This variant of Zacian is a bit weaker than its Crowned form that most fans from the main series are familiar with. However, this has not stopped it from dominating the Master League; it is the best Fairy-type creature in the tier.
Being a Legendary Pokemon, Zacian may be a bit hard to farm candies for. Thankfully, Niantic is introducing its shiny variant to the game during this event, making it the perfect time for players to get a group of friends together for a good old-fashioned raiding session.
