5 reasons to be excited for Pokemon GO Max Out Finale

December is almost here, which means Pokemon GO's Max Out season is almost at an end. To wrap up one of the biggest content waves to come to the game, Niantic has implemented a finale event that will take place from November 27, 2024, to December 1, 2024.

The Max Out Finale is focused on the many creatures that originally appeared in the Galar region. In addition, there are many event bonuses offered that can prove beneficial to all types of players.

Here are five reasons Pokemon GO players should be looking forward to the Max Out Finale event.

5 exciting details about Pokemon GO Max Out Finale event

1) Galarian Corsola

Galarian Corsola is the new Pocket Monster coming to Pokemon GO's seven-kilometer egg hatch table during the Max Out Finale. It is a pure Ghost-type creature known for its high defensive stats.

Unlike its standard variant, Galarian Corsola can evolve. Both forms had some competitive usage in their debut generation, which could speak well of their potential in Battle League.

These Pocket Monsters were previously known for being valuable, thanks to their access to strong utility moves. However, such strategies are not present in Pokemon GO since it has no turn-based battle system. A pure Ghost typing also does not provide many resistances, so the future is uncertain for these arrivals.

2) Halved egg hatch distance

Eggs are a crucial part of Pokemon GO's gameplay loop. Not only do they incentivize players to walk around and make use of the Adventure Sync feature, but some creatures can also only be found from eggs or are made much more common.

During the Max Out Finale event, the distance trainers are required to walk in order to hatch these eggs is halved. This is an especially helpful bonus following the release of Toxel.

Toxel is a baby Pokemon, a subcategory of creatures that can only be found from eggs. Since it can only hatch from the highest-distance eggs, this boost will be helpful for trainers who have yet to encounter one of these Pocket Monsters.

3) Shiny Legendaries

Niantic has confirmed that two new Shiny Legendary Pokemon will be available during the Max Out Finale. Regieleki and Regidraco are additional members of the elemental golems introduced in the Crown Tundra DLC for Pokemon Sword and Shield. They were introduced through poorly received Elite Raids, so many players may still not have these creatures in their collection.

Five-Star Raid Battles offer shiny odds of around 1 in 25, so trainers will have a much better chance at finding these Pocket Monsters compared to other creatures that will be available.

In addition to these new shiny forms, Shiny Zacian and Zamazenta will also return during the Max Out Finale.

The Max Out Finale will feature special collection challenges that task players with finding all the featured Pokemon through various means. The most common method is to catch wild spawns.

For the Max Out Finale, the rewards offered by collection challenges are quite valuable. Silver Pinap Berries and Rare Candies can be obtained by completing these upcoming collection challenges, which can be very helpful for competitive players looking to quickly earn certain types of candies.

5) Event ticket

Like many other events, Pokemon GO's Max Out Finale will offer an optional event ticket players can purchase for more benefits. Costing $10 USD, this event ticket places a strong emphasis on Raid Battles, so it may not be worth it for semi-active trainers. The greatest of its benefits is the five additional free Raid Passes players can get by spinning the Photo Disc at any gym location.

This event ticket also offers additional XP and candies for each raid that is completed. This can be handy for trainers looking to grind up a Legendary Pokemon for competitive play.

Additionally, the event ticket provides players with more chances at finding Shiny Legendaries compared to the average trainer, given that each of the free Raid Passes will be used.
