Are Pokemon GO's Into the Wild paid tickets worth it?

Pokemon GO's ongoing Into the Wild event is a precursor to the upcoming global Wild Area event for 2024. During this, players can encounter some special Raid Bosses. Additionally, the Baby Pokemon Toxel will make its global debut. However, some trainers may be wondering if the tickets offered by this event are worth purchasing.

Unlike most other events in Pokemon GO, Into the Wild offers two different tickets, each providing a different set of bonuses. While most players who consider these transactions typically only purchase one of these tickets over another, some users may want to know what both of these items offer. Here is everything to know about them.

Pokemon GO's Into the Wild Raid ticket offers the following bonuses for those who purchase it:

  • Up to 2 free Raid Passes per day by spinning Photo Discs at Gyms
  • 5,000 additional XP from completed raids
  • 1 additional Candy from Pokemon in four-star, five-star, Mega, Ultra Beast, and Primal Raids

In addition to these passive boosts, the ticket also gives players a special research task every day during the event that will reward them with the following resources:

  • 20 Poke Balls
  • 1,000 XP
  • 2,000 Stardust
  • 3 Toxel Candy
  • 1 Toxel Candy XL

For only $5, this ticket offers a lot of helpful resources for players who actively participate in Raid Battles. This event incentivizes daily participation with a different Five-Star Raid Boss on offer every day.

However, it offers very little for casual players who will only check the game on occasion. Hardcore fans who intend on grinding out this event should buy the ticket to get additional profile XP, Toxel candies, and strong Pokemon.

Pokemon GO's Into the Wild Hatch ticket offers the following bonuses to those who purchase it:

  • Increased chance of hatching Toxel from 10 km Eggs
  • 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance
  • 2× Hatch Stardust
  • 2× Hatch XP
  • 2× Hatch Candy
  • 1 single-use Incubator per day from spinning PokeStops

Much like the other ticket, the Hatch ticket offers a daily research task that can be completed for the following items:

  • 20 Poke Balls
  • 1,000 XP
  • 2,000 Stardust
  • 3 Toxel Candy
  • 1 Toxel Candy XL

These resource rewards are the same as the other ticket, so consumers will not be missing out if they only buy one over the other. This ticket also costs $5. Hatching Eggs is a big part of Pokemon GO's Into the Wild event, as that is the only way to find Toxel, the newest creature to come to the game.

Toxel is a Baby Pokemon, meaning it can only be found in Eggs, much like Pichu, Riolu, and Magby. However, unlike other creatures of this category, Toxel can only be hatched from 10 km eggs, which rarely drop from PokeStops. This ticket gives players a better chance at finding this new creature, and gives free Incubators daily, which are typically very rare and expensive items to come across.

Overall, the Hatch ticket has value among more players than the Raid ticket, given how a large part of the playerbase lives in areas where raids are much harder to complete.
