Pokemon GO Halloween 2024 Part 1 is about to commence, which means it is also almost time for the much-awaited Morpeko debut. Although this critter's shiny variant will not be available just yet, the event features several other Pokemon that can appear in their shiny forms if you are lucky. Since it is the spooky season, most of these critters are Ghost-type, which has some of the best-looking shiny monsters.

The Pokemon GO Halloween 2024 Part 1 event will remain active from October 22, 2024, at 10:00 AM local time till October 28, 2024, at 10:00 AM local time. Here is a list of the five best shinies that you can catch in Pokemon GO during this period.

Here is a list of the best shinies that you should look forward to catching during this Halloween event in Pokemon GO:

1) Umbreon

Shiny Umbreon is one of the best-looking Pokemon out there. The golden tinges change their color to a shade of blue, which looks excellent paired with its black fur. Moreover, during the Halloween 2024 Part 1 event, you do not have to rely on evolving an Eevee into this critter; Umbreon will be readily available in 3-star raids.

This Pokemon performs pretty well in the Great League, making its shiny variant a must-have for anyone looking to use shiny monsters in PvP battles. Beating Umbreon in raids and capturing one with decent IVs should be fairly easy during this event. Moreover, there is a boosted chance to encounter Shiny Umbreon in both raids and the wild.

2) Galarian Yamask

Galarian Yamask is rare in itself, and a Shiny Galarian Yamask is rarer still. Recently, this Pokemon was featured in Research Day as well, where you could get an encounter with it after completing Field Research Tasks. If you missed the Research Day, 1-star raids will have Galarian Yamask, and you can get a shiny variant if you are lucky enough.

Shiny Galarian Yamask will evolve into Shiny Runerigus, which is also extremely rare in Pokemon GO. As such, you should try to capture this and make it a part of your collection.

3) Golett

Golett might not be that rare, and chances are you have a Shadow Golett tucked in somewhere that you received after defeating Team GO Rocket Grunts. However, Shiny Golett is a visually striking Pokemon that can evolve into Shiny Golurk, which is very effective in the Great League as well.

However, you will only be able to encounter a Golett or its shiny form from the special Field Research Tasks that will be available during the Pokemon GO Halloween 2024 Part 1 event. This automatically means Shiny Golett will be very rare, and you will need luck on your side to encounter and catch it.

4) Drifloon

During this Ghost-type event, players will also have a chance to catch a Shiny Drifloon. Its golden color looks amazing, and the critter can further evolve into Shiny Drifblim, everyone's favorite Pokemon hot-air balloon. Shiny Drifblim is also a great contender in the Pokemon GO Great Leagues, making it a viable PvP pick.

You will be able to encounter Shiny Drifloon pretty easily since it will have boosted rates of wild spawns. If you have Lure Modules and Incenses, the chances of Drifloon spawns greatly increase, thereby boosting your chances of encountering a shiny variant.

Finally, we have Dynamax Gastly, which also makes its debut during the Pokemon GO Halloween 2024 Part 1 event, during which, it will be featured in the 1-star Max battles. After you defeat it, you will also be able to encounter a Shiny Dynamax Gastly if you are lucky enough.

If you end up catching a Shiny Dynamax Gastly, you can eventually evolve it into a Shiny Dynamax Gengar. Although Max battles are not that widely enjoyed by PoGo players, you should definitely not pass up the opportunity to catch the Dynamax variant of one of the franchise's most believed Ghost-type Pokemon.
