Best teams for Galar Cup Great League Edition in Pokemon GO Battle League Season 20

1) Togetic, Shadow Golurk, and Shadow Machamp

TogeticLeadFairy WindAerial Ace and Dazzling Gleam
Shadow GolurkSwitchMud-Slap
Shadow Punch and Dynamic Punch
Shadow MachampCloserKarate Chop*Stone Edge* and Cross Chop

This is one of the best teams for Galar Cup Great League Edition in Pokemon GO for players with an aggressive playstyle. You need to be aware of move counts and be wary of the switch clock to steer this team to success. Togetic and Shadow Machamp have lightning-fast energy generation with Fairy Wind and Karate Chop, so they will spam Charged Attacks at quick intervals.

Shadow Golurk is the one who needs shields the most. With Shields up, the power of Shadow Mud-Slaps is too much for most creatures to handle.

2) Shadow Quagsire, Shadow Drapion, and Drfblim

Lead with Shadow Quagsire as it has only one weakness to Grass. The two creatures at the back are very good at dealing with this weakness. Overall the collaboration between the three critters ensures you deal at least neutral damage across the board.

Shadow Drapion is a fantastic safe-switch option as it has decent Fast Attack pressure and strong low-energy coverage. Use shields depending on what you see on the opponent's team, as all three creatures can do decently without having shields in play.

3) Diggersby, Shadow Galarian Weezing, and Toxapex

The newly available Shadow Galarian Weezing is the star of this team. The additional attack helps it close out matches that it struggled with before. To make up for the loss of bulk, Galarian Weezing is being paired with Diggersby and Toxapex.

Both Diggersby and Toxapex have good matchups against a majority of the meta, and the damage output they lack is made up for by Shadow Galarian Weezing, whose Dark and Fairy coverage makes this one of the best teams for Galar Cup Great League Edition in Pokemon GO.

4) Pangoro, Clefable, and Gastrodon

GastrodonCloserMud-SlapBody Slam and Earth Power

Pangoro is the rising star of the Season 20 balance changes. It is extremely frail but hits like a truck. Few things in the format can comfortably tank even a neutral Close Combat from the panda.

Clefable and Gastrodon provide the necessary backup against Fairy and Fighting types that make Pangoro uncomfortable. This team is slightly weak to fliers, but Clefable's matchup into critters like Mandibuzz, Shadow Drifblim, Togetic, and Mantine is a saving grace, making this one of the best teams for Galar Cup Great League Edition in Pokemon GO.

5) Mandibuzz, Lanturn, and Claydol

LanturnSwitchWater GunSurf and Thunderbolt
ClaydolCloserMud-SlapIce Beam and Shadow Ball

Mandibuzz is the ruler of the skies in the Max Out GBL meta. Pair it with two off-meta picks in Lanturn and Claydol to take your opponent by surprise. The entire team is bulky enough to allow you to take advantage of the 50-second timer and get out of sticky situations.

Claydol's moveset is extremely versatile, giving you the option of shield baiting with the threat of nukes like STAB Earthquake. When in doubt, set up Lanturn with a shield advantage, and it can most likely win you games.
