How do booster packs in Pokemon TCG Pocket work?
Pokemon TCG Pocket is an upcoming app set to release worldwide on October 30th and aims to be the most accessible way to enjoy every aspect of the card game. This includes the beloved hobby of collecting cards and opening booster packs. One of the biggest selling points of the game is the free booster packs it promises to give users.
However, these booster packs are very different from the physical booster packs fans can purchase and buy from a store. Each expansion brings its own set of booster packs featuring the various creatures that can be found in the expansion. On top of this, these booster packs have their own sets of exclusive cards as well.

Pokemon TCG Pocket's first expansion, Genetic Apex, will feature three different booster packs. Ones featuring Charizard, Pikachu, and Mewtwo. By purchasing the premium pass for Pokemon TCG Pocket for $9.99 USD, players can earn one additional free booster pack per day. This makes Pack Hourglasses much more valuable, since consuming them will reward users with even more cards.
For this reason, players looking to purchase the premium pass should invest time in the game's solo mode, where they battle against AI using various decks. This is the best way to grind for these Pack Hourglasses as they contribute towards the completion of most missions that reward the item as well.

Players can also find cards for free by using the Wonder Pick mechanic. Using Wonder Stamina, players can search through booster packs opened by other players for the chance of getting one of the cards the other player pulled from their booster packs. The cost of Wonder Stamina per pick depends on the rarity of the cards pulled from the booster pack.
