How to get free Shiny Meloetta in Pokemon HOME

Pokemon HOME is a storage application players can use for transferring their creatures between different games across the franchise. With Pokemon Scarlet and Violet now being complete titles with no new creatures, Game Freak has decided to give those who complete the ultimate challenge a proper reward.

A Shiny Meloetta is now being distributed to players who complete the full Pokedex for Pokemon Scarlet or Violet. This includes the Paldea, Kitakami, and Blueberry Academy Pokedexes. This is the first time Shiny Meloetta is available in a Pokemon game without hacking.

Here are some helpful tips for obtaining this special reward in Pokemon HOME.

There are some players who have already completed their Pokedex in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. For Pokedex progress to be recorded in Pokemon HOME, trainers will need to manually transfer their creatures to the storage application. Those who already have a living Pokedex in their copy of Scarlet and Violet just need to briefly put them into Pokemon HOME to record their progress.

For those who have not completed their Pokedex, this grind may be a bit draining. However, it could be done by an avid player in a couple of days. The process is made much easier if trainers have a copy of every Pokemon title released on the Nintendo Switch. Even side games like Let's GO and Legends Arceus can greatly contribute to completing the Pokedex.

Legends Arceus is arguably the most helpful title players can have for this grind as trade evolutions can be completed with consumable items in the game. Typically, Pocket Monsters that are difficult to obtain, like Golem, Electivire, Magmortar, and Rhyperior, can easily be evolved or found in the overworld in the Legends game.

Players will also need one of every creature in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet in order to get this reward. This includes Legendaries, Paradox Pokemon, and each component of each evolutionary line. With the convenience of Link Trade codes, the most time consuming part of this grind will be obtaining each stage of evolutions.

How to easily obtain version exclusives in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

I thought this would be helpful! Trade codes for version exclusives!

The Pokemon community is surprisingly committed to helping players complete their Pokedex if they so desire. Online, many players reserve trade codes for trades of certain Pokemon like version exclusives and Trade Evolutions.

Codes for these trades can be found across the internet and span across every possible version exclusive or trade evolution in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

With these codes, finding each version exclusive should be incredibly easy since the Scarlet and Violet main story gives players two of the respective Box Legendary. This was done so trainers would have one to trade for the Box Legendary of the version they did not pick.
