How to get Galarian Slowbro in Pokemon GO, and can it be shiny?
Getting the Galarian Slowbro in Pokemon GO is not as easy as acquiring the Galarian Slowpoke. The regular variant of Galarian Slowbro was introduced during A Very Slow Discovery event on June 8, 2021. Almost two years after this release, Shiny Galarian Slowbro debuted with the start of the Community Day event on March 18, 2023.
Before we discuss the ways that allow trainers to get their hands on Galarian Slowbro, it’s worth noting that Galarian Slowpoke is the next featured Pokemon of the September Spotlight Hour event.

How to get Galarian Slowbro in Pokemon GO
There are three ways to obtain Galarian Slowbro in Niantic's mobile title as of September 2024:
- Evolve a Galarian Slowpoke into one (reliable).
- Complete Research Tasks (unreliable).
- Trade (reliable).
1) Evolve a Galarian Slowpoke into one
If you are yet to capture a Galarain Slowpoke, then, you should participate in the upcoming Galarian Slowpoke Spotlight Hour event and do so. The event starts on October 8, 2024, at 6:00 pm local time, and ends on the same day at 7:00 pm local time. That said, you will have to follow the steps mentioned below to get Galarian Slowbro in Pokemon GO.
You will have to catch wild Galarian Slowpoke in the wild and collect its evolution Candies. The creature spawns significantly more during the period of Spotlight Hour. However, outside of this event, you should visit locations with Cloudy or Windy weather conditions to come across Galarian Slowpoke.
Do remember to activate the effect of the Lure Module and Incense to boost the spawn rate of Galarian Slowpoke. Once this is done, you should be able to encounter and capture the critter.
A Galarian Slowpoke can evolve into a Galarian Slowbro in Pokemon GO by consuming 25 Pokemon Candy. When the evolution process is completed, a single Psychic-type Galarian Slowpoke becomes a dual Poison- and Psychic-type Galarian Slowbro.
2) Complete Research Tasks
Although trainers could get Galarian Slowbro in Pokemon GO by completing research quests, they cannot count on this method at the time of this writing. This is because the Galarian monster was obtainable only once in the past by finishing the third part of the Field Notes: Slow and Slower quest.
As of now, you will need to wait for the Niantic to return Galarian Slowbro to research stories in the future.

3) Trade
A trainer can ask their friends in Pokemon GO to give them a Galarian Slowbro through the trade process. You can select a pocket monster that you would like to give to your friend for trading purposes.
However, you must know that the trade is only possible between friends when both meet in person, possess the required Stardust in their account, and are within a 100-meter trade distance.
