During the run of Wild Area Global, Mighty Galvantula in Pokemon GO will appear for the first time globally as wild spawns. Its shiny form will also debut in the same event. Galvantula, also known as the EleSpider Pokemon, was initially introduced to trainers alongside the release of the Trade Evolution mechanic on January 10, 2020. On the other hand, its shiny version was presented during GO Fest 2023: Global on August 23, 2023.

1) Catch Galvantula in the wild
To encounter Galvantula or Mighty Galvantula in Pokemon GO, you must play the game strategically. This creature receives a spawn boost during Rain Weather thanks to the effect of the Weather Boost. So, by visiting places with this weather, you may come across it.
If this doesn’t work, you can still trigger another effect by turning on the Lure Module and Incense in Rain Weather. The activation of these items plays a crucial role in encountering Galvantula.
2) Defeat raids
As a Bug- and Electric-type Pokemon, Galvantula is 160% weak to Fire- and Rock-type moves in the game. Hence, train these moves to strong pocket monsters so that you counter this creature.

4) Evolve Joltik
You can feed Joltik 50 Candies to evolve it into Galvantula in Pokemon GO. However, this process of obtaining the critter is lengthy because you cannot do anything unless you have collected the required amount of Candies for the evolution.
5) Trade
Ask your in-game friend to trade a Galvantula if they have some extras in their account. This creature is impossible to get remotely. As a result, you must conduct the trading activity in a 100-meter proximity.
Can you encounter Shiny Galvantula in Pokemon GO?
Yes, Shiny Galvantula can be encountered in the game, but the odds of doing so are 1-in-64. Despite this, events like Wild Area Global offer bonuses that increase the odds of shiny creatures, allowing you to find one easily.
