Magearna in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet can only be obtained by transferring it from an older game via Pokemon HOME. This means you can only use this creature in Gen IX if you already caught it in another game and transferred it to your HOME account. Follow these steps to move Magearna into Scarlet or Violet:

Download Pokemon HOME: Install the Pokemon HOME app on your Nintendo Switch.
Log in with your Nintendo Account: Open Pokemon HOME and log in using the Nintendo Account linked to your Pokemon Scarlet or Violet save file.
