While there are various methods to add this creature to the collection, trade is the best bet when nothing works. However, it is only reliable when your in-game friend willingly gives one of their Scolipedes.

The Pokemon GO Wild Area: Global event is set to introduce Scolipede and its shiny variant as a wild Mighty Pokemon. Participants must note that it has a low catch rate, and they may need a GO Safari Ball for this endeavor.

The game offers four different ways to get Scolipede in Pokemon GO:

Catch a wild Mighty Scolipede.
Beat 3-star Raids.
Evolve a Whirilipede into one.
Trade

1) Catch a wild Mighty Scolipede

Mighty Scolipede is a dual Bug- and Poison-type Pocket Monster in Niantic’s mobile game. This typing makes the Weather Boost (WB) effect increase its wild spawn rate during Rain and Cloudy weather.

During the run of Wild Area Global, play the game by going to places that experience Rain or Cloudy weather to encounter Mighty Scolipede. Players can also turn on the effect of the Lure Module and Incense to boost the spawn rate of any Pokemon spawning in a particular weather condition, allowing them to get Scolipede in Pokemon GO.

2) Beat 3-star raids

As said previously, Scolipede’s typing is Bug and Poison. So, this means it is 160% weak to Fire-, Flying-, Psychic-, and Rock-type moves. These moves can help counter Scolipede in Pokemon GO 3-star raids.

First, evolve a Venipede into a Whirlipede by giving the former 25 Candies. Once that is done, a Whirlipede can be fed 100 Candies to evolve into a Scolipede in Pokemon GO. In short, players will need a total of 125 Candies to complete this evolution process.

4) Trade

Here comes the most challenging part of obtaining Scolipede in the game. Players will need a friend who has more than one Megapede Pokemon in their account, and on top of that, they must be willing to share it with you via Trade.

Even if they want to give you one, trading cannot be completed remotely. Players must meet a trader personally and be in proximity of 100 meters, among many other requirements.
