How to OHKO Rock Infernape 7-star Tera Raid in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's latest 7-star Tera Raid features a Rock Tera Type Infernape from October 3 (5:00 pm PDT) until October 6 (4:59 pm PDT), 2024. The boss will then return on October 10 (5:00 pm PDT) until October 13 (4:59 pm PDT). But can this new Tera Raid boss be beaten with a one-hit KO (OHKO)? It isn't easy, but it's possible to OHKO Mighty Infernape raids.
With the right team of Pokemon being controlled by trusted players who can stick to the plan, this Pokemon Scarlet and Violet OHKO strategy should be enough to take down Rock Infernape in 7-star Tera Raids with plenty of time to spare.
How to one-hit KO Rock Infernape in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet raids
To OHKO Rock Infernape 7-star Tera Raids in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, this strategy will involve boosting the power of Dialga's Steel Beam attack enough that it drops Rock Infernape in a single strike before it can summon its Tera Energy Shield. Fortunately, with four players and the right Pokemon, this should be quite straightforward, and you can find the team build below.
Keep in mind that all participants should have the highest possible IVs and levels for the best results, as the OHKO strategy may fail if Dialga or its allies are under-leveled or don't have quality IVs:
With the team above handled by your fellow Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players that you can trust, you're ready to implement the OHKO strategy. The details of how to beat Rock Infernape in a single strike using Dialga's Steel Beam is detailed below:
- On Turn 1, have two Perrserker players use Fake Tears to Drop Infernape's Sp. Def stat.
- Also on Turn 1, have the third Perrserker activate its Attack Cheer (Go all out!) to boost the party's Attack and Sp. Atk stats by 1.5x.
- At the end of Turn 1, have Dialga attack with Steel Beam, which should immediately knock out Rock Infernape in a single hit.
This strategy operates by lowering Infernape's Sp. Def stat before increasing the power of Special Attacks on the raid team thanks to the presence of three Perrserker, whose Steely Spirit abilities stack for a 150% increase in Special Attack damage. The Attack Cheer then increases Dialga's Sp. Atk by 1.5x, making its super effective Steel Beam attack into a veritable nuke.
Meanwhile, Dialga's Choice Specs increase its Sp. Atk even more, and once it launches its Steel Beam attack, it should deal anywhere from 16,914 to 19,898 damage which is well over 150% of Rock Infernape's HP total. With this strategy, you can farm these Pokemon Scarlet and Violet raids at will for Herba Mystica for your sandwiches as well as stat-boosting items and more.
