Players wishing to solo defeat Mega Mawile in Pokemon GO Mega Raids will be happy to know that the feat is achievable as long as you have the appropriate counters. Mega Mawile makes its Pokemon GO debut on October 12, 2024, during Raid Day. The event will last from 2 - 5 pm local time, and during this period the raid boss will take over all Gyms around you.

Best counters to solo defeat Mega Mawile in Pokemon GO Mega Raids

Here's a look at Mega Mawile's stats and attributes:

  • Type: Steel and Fairy
  • Combat Power: 29,333
  • Attack: 188
  • Defense: 217
  • Stamina: 9,000 HP
  • Fast Attacks: Astonish, Bite, Fairy Wind, Fire Fang and Ice Fang
  • Charged Attacks: Iron Head, Play Rough, Power-Up Punch and Vise Grip
  • Weaknesses: Ground and Fire

When battling on your own without weather boosts, PokeBattler simulations suggest that only Primal or Shadow Groudon with Mud Shot and Precipice Blades can take down Mega Mawile. The creature needs to be at least level 40 to win the fight comfortably if you are using the Shadow version. However, if you have the Primal, level 35+ should sail you through the battle.

In addition to Groudon, the following creatures can solo Mega Mawile in Pokemon GO when they are maxed out using Candy XL:

  • Mega Blaziken with Fire Spin and Blast Burn
  • Mega Charizard Y with Fire Spin and Blast Burn

With Sunny/Clear weather on, the following creatures (in addition to the four aforementioned Pokemon) can achieve the feat at level 40:

  • Shadow Heatran with Fire Spin and Magma Storm

  • Mega Garchomp with Mud Shot and Earth Power
  • Shadow Moltres with Fire Spin and Overheat

At level 50 and with a Sunny/Clear weather boost, numerous other creatures join the roster. The top five among them are:

  • Regular Groudon with Mud Shot and Precipice Blades
  • Shadow Entei with Fire Spin and Overheat
  • Mega Charizard Y with Fire Spin and Blast Burn
  • Therian Landorus with Mud Shot and Sandear Storm
  • Shadow Excadrill with Mud Shot and Scorching Sands
