How to solo defeat Swadloon in Pokemon GO 4-star raids

Those wishing to play the October Community Day on their own are in luck as you can also solo defeat Swadloon in Pokemon GO 4-star raids that will be conducted at the end of the event hours. The main event, featuring Sewaddle, will take place on October 5, 2024, from 2-5 pm local time. This will be followed by Swadloon taking over Gyms as a 5-star raid boss.

Swadloon is not a very strong creature to start with. To make things worse, it has two double weaknesses. This article will explain how you can exploit these shortcomings to easily solo defeat Swadloon in Pokemon GO 4-star raids.

Best creatures to solo defeat Swadloon in Pokemon GO 4-star raids

Before looking at the best counters to solo defeat Swadloon in Pokemon GO 4-star raids, take a look at the creature's attributes:

• Type: Grass and Bug
• Combat Power: 16,865
• Attack: 115
• Defense: 162
• Stamina: 9,000 HP
• Fast Attacks: Bug Bite and Struggle Bug
• Charged Attacks: Bug Buzz, Energy Ball, and Silver Wind
• Weaknesses: Flying, Fire, Rock, Poison, Bug, and Ice

Of the list of weaknesses, Swadloon's susceptibility to Flying and Fire-type attacks is the most prominent, as both these types deal 256% extra damage to Swadloon.

Therefore, to easily take down Swadloon as a lone trainer, you should use a combination of the following creatures:

• Mega or regular Rayquaza with Air Slash and Dragon Ascent
• Shadow Moltres with Air Slash and Sky Attack
• Shadow Staraptor with Gust and Fly
• Shadow Ho-Oh with Extrasensory and Brave Bird
• Yveltal with Gust and Oblivion Wing
• Mega or Shadow Blaziken with Fire Spin and Blast Burn
• Mega Charizard Y or X with Fire Spin and Blast Burn
• Shadow Ho-Oh with Incinerate and Sacred Fire
• Reshiram with Fire Fang and Fusion Flare
• Mega Houndoom with Fire Fang and Flamethrower

Not only do these critters deal double super-effective damage, they also resist all of Swadloons only Bug- and Grass-type attacks.

Readers should note that this is not an exhaustive list. While building your team to solo defeat Swadloon in Pokemon GO 4-star raids, try to go with Flying or Fire-type attackers with the respective type's Fast and Charged Attacks.

Additionally, ensure your attacker is at least level 35 if you are using random counters, and level 30 if you incorporate the best counters mentioned here.

You may also try to use Rock-, Poison-, Bug-, and Ice-type attackers. While they'll get the job done, they won't be nearly as efficient.
