Magearna solo build and strategy to take down Shiny Rayquaza Tera Raid
Build
- Tera type: Fairy
- Ability: Soul-Heart
- Held Item: Covert Cloak
- Nature: Modest
- EV Spread: 4 HP / 252 Def.. / 252 Sp. Atk.
- Moveset: Draining Kiss, Iron Defense, Fleur Cannon, and Calm Mind
Strategy
- For the first few rounds, keep using Draining Kiss to charge your Tera Orb energy and topping off whatever damage you take from the raid boss' attacks.
- Once you have enough energy, Terastallize.
- After Rayquaza resets your stat changes, start clicking Calm Mind for three turns. If you lose too much HP while doing this, use Draining Kiss to regain health.
- Once Rayquaza's shield has been broken, and you are at +3 Special Attack, fire off a Fleur Cannon to finish off the raid boss.

- Held Item: Covert Cloak
- Nature: Modest
- EV Spread: 4 HP / 252 Def.. / 252 Sp. Atk.
- Moveset: Draining Kiss, Hyper Beam, Fake Tears, and Calm Mind
Strategy
- Use Fake Tears and Draining Kiss interchangeably until Rayquaza resets its stats. This will also help you charge your Tera Orb energy.
- Once you have enough energy, Terastallize.
- Rayquaza will reset your stats when it reaches 80% HP.
- Click Calm Mind three times to bring your Special Attack to +3. Use Draining Kiss in the middle if you have lost too much HP.
- Finish off Rayquaza with a single Pixilate-boosted Hyper Beam.
- If you are unable to get your hands on Sylveon with Pixilate as its ability, replace Hyper Beam with Moonblast and do one more round of Calm Mind for the same results.
