Is there a Pokemon Legends Z-A PC build? Latest leaks suggest so

The recent Game Freak Teraleak has brought to light a lot of information regarding Pokemon Legends Z-A. According to leakers @pory_leeks and @CentroLeaks on X, the hacker responsible for the data breach has a copy of the title and has played it to completion. Despite saying the game has bugs and lag issues, they claim to have enjoyed it.

An unusual development from the Teraleak is that Game Freak developed a fully playable PC build of the game. However, it is highly unlikely that this version will ever be released for computer systems.

For those unaware, video games for consoles are commonly made on a developer kit, which typically includes the devices the titles are on themselves. Every console has had a developer kit, and the Nintendo Switch is no exception. With this in mind, it may catch many video game fans off-guard to hear about this PC build.

While this build is reportedly playable, it was most likely made for testing purposes. If the game is already on a PC, it is much easier for the development team to make changes and add assets to it if the need arises.

It is likely that Pokemon Legends Z-A was made with a developer kit connected to a PC. This is why a technical PC build somewhat exists.

Though the game is currently playable on Game Freak's office PCs, it cannot be played on computers outside of potential emulation. This has been confirmed not only by the title's exclusive release on the Nintendo Switch but also because Nintendo has historically never released a game for their properties on PCs, except for educational programs in the 90s.

Performance details about Pokemon Legends Z-A from the Teraleak

One of the details from the Game Freak Teraleak that has left players concerned about the state of Pokemon Legends Z-A is that the game is laggy and has several glitches. While this can be concerning, most of these problems will likely be resolved before the title's official release.

Since the hacker played a version of Pokemon Legends Z-A that is not available to the public, it is more than likely that it was still incomplete. The game still has no official release date, so Game Freak has tons of time to iron out these issues leading up to its launch.
