Paper Rex announces its Pokemon UNITE roster

On October 31, 2024, Popular Singaporean organization Paper Rex announced its entry into Pokemon UNITE, a mobile MOBA game. The club signed the former players of another popular club, Team MYS. The squad, which has previously participated in many top-tier tournaments, will now aim to achieve major trophies in the 2025 season.

Pokemon UNITE has already revealed the structure of the Asia Champions League 2025. The Southeast Asia Qualifier of the event will kick off in November 2024 and Paper Rex has been directly invited to the Qualifier. The top four teams from this regional contest will reach the Asia Champions League.

Paper Rex officially unveiled its roster via social media platforms. Four players of the squad hail from Malaysia, while two hail from Singapore. The club wrote:

"Please join us in welcoming the core members of Team MYS, a highly accomplished Singaporean/Malaysian squad, who will represent Paper Rex as they compete in the upcoming 2025 Pokémon UNITE Asia Champions League".

Except for Bocchi, the other five players have previously played for Team MNS. While playing for Team MNS, the squad emerged victorious in the Pokemon UNITE Championship Series 2024 Malaysia and Singapore Qualifiers. However, the team failed to achieve a respectable spot in the main event of the UNITE Championship Series this year (2024).

The roster finished fourth in the UNITE Asia Champions League 2024 that was held in February in Bangkok, Thailand. They were the winners of the UNITE Malaysia and Singapore Open 2023 and claimed the third spot in the Southeast Asia League 2024.

Now, these athletes will prepare themselves for the upcoming Asia Champions League 2025. The main event is scheduled to take place in March 2025, in Shinjuku, Japan. A total of 16 teams from Aisa will be selected from many regional qualifiers to participate in the tournament.

Paper Rex, founded in 2020, is a well-known esports organization and has rosters in two games, Valorant and Pokemon UNITE. The club has some notable achievements in Valorant.
