Pokemon GO Falinks Raid Day ticket issue compensation to be revealed later
Pokemon GO Falinks Raid Day ticket issue compensation for affected trainers will be revealed sometime soon. This may include free in-game resources or a possible repeat of Falinks Raid Day at a later date. For now, we will have to wait and see what the developers decide is the appropriate compensation for the matter.
Read on to learn what the issue was and what Niantic stated regarding the same.
Pokemon GO Falinks Raid Day ticket holders faced event bonus issues
Pokemon GO Falinks Raid Day ticket holders didn't receive event bonuses that were due to them after 5 PM local time. The ticket was priced at $5.00 and the bonuses in question were:
- Eight additional Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs (for a daily total of 14)
- Increased chance to get Rare Candy XL from Raid Battles
- 50% more XP from Raid Battles
- 2× Stardust from Raid Battles
These bonuses were scheduled to be active on Sunday, September 8, 2024, from 2 PM local time to 10 PM local time. The error resulted in the duration being cut significantly short.
Niantic addressed the situation by stating the following on @NinaticHelp on X:
"Trainers, we have resolved an issue causing Falinks Raid Day ticket holders to not receive event bonuses after 5:00 p.m. local time. Trainers who purchase the ticket from this point forward will not experience this issue."
They continued to mention:
"We will share more information for Trainers who have already purchased the ticket soon."
This is not the first time we have seen issues with a Pokemon GO event this year. To The Max Special Research reset bug affected several trainers, with compensation being announced earlier last week.
The Elite Raid Mega Rayquaza event had to be rerun in August 2024. Niantic even provided free Ultra Beast and Necrozma encounters because of the Special Background GO Fest 2024 bug. It remains to be seen how they wish to tackle the compensation issue for the Falinks Raid Day ticket error.
