Pokemon TCG Pocket datamine hints at new booster pack and A2 expansion release dates
The latest Pokemon TCG Pocket datamine hints at when trainers can expect a new card expansion (A2) and a new booster pack (A1a) to arrive in-game. Currently, the virtual TCG game only has the Genetic Expansion pack and the Promo-A pack.
Pokemon TCG Pocket has become immensely popular since its launch on October 30, 2024. It has been downloaded over 30 million times already, with Appmagic indicating a total revenue of more than $20 million. Given the craze, it is expected that the devs will add new content through packs and expansions soon.

Provided by @CentroLeaks, the Pokemon TCG Pocket datamine noted that the new expansion pack (A2) will likely arrive on January 29 or 30 next year, and a special booster pack (A1a) on December 16 or 17.
Given that these are datamined reports, trainers are advised to wait for the developers to officially confirm the dates and the content. A new card rarity will also be reportedly introduced—an eight-pointed multicolored star. The datamine also shared that devs will soon implement Rare Picks in the Wonder Pick mechanic.
Genetic Apex is the first Pokemon TCG Pocket main expansion set, heavily focusing on the Generation I Original 151 introduced in Pokemon Red and Blue. A new expansion will surely mean a host of new missions for trainers to complete. Genetic Expansion boasts several Dex, Deck and Themed Collection Missions with lucrative rewards, including the secret Mew card reward.
The first expansion showcased the amount of creativity and hard work the devs have poured in (especially the Immersive Cards), and trainers will surely be looking forward to seeing how A2 turns out.
