Pokemon TCG Pocket 'Not Opening on iPhone' error can reportedly be fixed with a language trick

Pokemon TCG Pocket has been suffering from a few issues specifically for the iPhone, with some iOS 18.1 users reporting that the app refuses to open. The game's official X handle acknowledged earlier on October 31 that the developers were investigating the matter, but there was "no ETA on a fix yet." Till an official resolution arrives, a language change trick is reportedly fixing the problem.

The process was shared in a comment by u/RyaSnaps on Pokemon TCG Pocket Reddit under a post complaining about the issue. Given that this method has seen positive responses from other players, it is likely the only fix available for the 'Not Opening on iPhone' error till the developers release one.

This should resolve the app-not-opening issue on iPhone. The latest update from the developers stated that they were investigating several issues surrounding iOS devices. They urged trainers to submit such feedback by raising a ticket and providing detailed information regarding whatever went wrong.

Given Pokemon TCG Pocket's surging popularity (the app has been downloaded over 10 million times already), it is expected that the game might run into some technical difficulties.

One can only hope that the developers will be quick to recognize and address them. The streamlined adaptation of the physical Pokemon TCG seems to have the potential to be the next big mobile Pokemon game after Pokemon GO and Pokemon Unite.
