Pokemon GO Galarian Expedition: Schedule, spawns, and more
Pokemon GO Galarian Expedition is now online around the world, with trainers getting to encounter Shiny Galarian Legendary Birds and Shiny Zamazenta (Hero of Many Battles). The event also brings along Field Research tasks and Collection Challenges. A Master Ball Masterwork Research is also available as a paid questline.

Pokemon GO Galarian Expedition event overview
Schedule
Galarian Expedition started on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 10 am local time and ends on Friday, October 11, 2024, at 8 pm local time. Zamazenta (Hero of Many Battles) is now available in 5-star raids, with the shiny form making its in-game debut.
Galarian Legendary Spawns
The shiny variants of the Galarian Legendary Birds debut in Pokemon with this event. They will spawn when Daily Adventure Incense is activated with lucky trainers having the chance of catching the shiny ones.

The following pocket monsters will have an increased spawn rate in the wild for Pokemon GO trainers:

- Nidoran (Female) (shiny encounter available)
- Abra (shiny encounter available)
- Magnemite (shiny encounter available)
- Aron (shiny encounter available)
- Wailmer (shiny encounter available)
- Spheal (shiny encounter available)
- Beldum (shiny encounter available)
- Shinx (shiny encounter available)
- Foongus (shiny encounter available)
- Dedenne (shiny encounter available)
- Wooloo (shiny encounter available)
- Chansey (shiny encounter available) [lucky encounter]
- Absol (shiny encounter available) [lucky encounter]
- Emolga (shiny encounter available) [lucky encounter]
Field Research, Masterwork Research, Collection Challenges, and PokeStop Showcase
Event-themed Field Research tasks are available to Pokemon GO trainers during the Galarian Expedition event. They can also participate in and complete the Collection Challenges. Moreover, PokeStop Showcases will feature event-related pocket monsters during the event.
Galarian Expedition also introduced a Master Ball Masterwork Research that trainers can pick up for US$7.99. If they purchase it from the Pokemon GO Web Store, they will get 3x Rare Candies as a bonus.
