Pokemon GO Galarian Expedition Taken Over: Schedule, event bonuses, and more

Pokemon GO Galarian Expedition Taken Over is another iteration of the popular Team GO Rocket event. The nefarious outfit appears with an increased spawn rate in-game. Trainers can also remove the Charged Attack Frustration from a Shadow Pokemon with a Charged TM during the event. Furthermore, Giovanni is bringing a new Shadow Pokemon as part of his arsenal.

Pokemon GO Galarian Expedition Taken Over event overview

Schedule and event bonuses

The Galarian Expedition Taken Over began on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at 12 am and will end on Friday, October 11 at 8 pm local time. The event bonuses are as follows:

  • Team GO Rocket will appear more frequently at PokéStops and in balloons.
  • You can use a Charged TM to help a Shadow Pokémon forget the Charged Attack Frustration.

Shadow Pokemon and Shadow Raids

Giovanni will unleash Shadow Heatran with Galarian Expedition Taken Over. You can get a chance to encounter him by completing the new steps of the Galar Calling Special Research. Event-themed PokeStop Showcases and Field Research tasks are available with the current iteration of the Taken Over event. The latter include rewards such as Mysterious Components, Charged TMs, and Fast TMs.
