Pokemon GO Simply Groundbreaking: Schedule, event bonuses, and more
The next Pokemon GO event arriving in November 2024 is Simply Groundbreaking, with the occasion marking the debut of Dynamax Drilbur. The Pokemon's unique variant will be available to encounter in Max Battles. Apart from that, Simply Groundbreaking will offer an event bonus, wild encounters, and plenty more.

Pokemon GO Simply Groundbreaking event overview
Schedule, event bonuses, and Dynamax debut
Simply Groundbreaking starts on Friday, November 15, at 10 am local time and continues till Sunday, November 17, 2024, at 8 pm local time. Here's the event bonus:
- 2x chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.
- Trainers will also have an increased possibility of encountering Shiny Drilbur.
Dynamax Drilbur will debut in one-star Max Battles, with shiny encounters also possible. Once caught, trainers will be able to Dynamax it and its evolution, Excadrill, in subsequent Max Battles.

The following Pocket Monsters will enjoy an increased spawn rate during the upcoming event:
- Jigglypuff [shiny encounter available]
- Diglett [shiny encounter available]
- Alolan Diglett [shiny encounter available]
- Rhyhorn [shiny encounter available]
- Phanpy [shiny encounter available]
- Whismur [shiny encounter available]
- Kricketot [shiny encounter available]
- Woobat [shiny encounter available]
- Drilbur [shiny encounter available]
- Noibat [shiny encounter available]
- Excadrill [shiny encounter available] (lucky encounter)
Field Research and Timed Research
Event-themed Field Research and Timed Research tasks are set to be available during the event. While initially set to be available as part of research rewards, Niantic informed the community today (November 13, 2024) that Drilbur Candy XL won't be provided.
As we move towards the final half of Max Out's concluding month, there's a lot of exciting stuff waiting for Pokemon GO trainers. The GO Wild Area Fukuoka event will take place in person this weekend, followed by the global rendition that will occur next weekend. Meanwhile, trainers worldwide will also get to enjoy the Into the Wild event just before GO Wild Area kicks in.
