A Pokemon GO Sobble Max Battle guide will help players challenge and defeat the Power Spot boss when it becomes available for engagement, starting from October 1, 2024. Regular Sobble was released on September 3, 2024, and its Dynamax Form is being released to mark the beginning of the Max Out season's second month.

What is super-effective against Dynamax Sobble?

Being a mono-Water-type creature, Dynamax Sobble takes super-effective damage from Electric- and Grass-type attacks. The best counters are creatures that know both Fast and Charged Attacks of these types.

Knowing super-effective Fast Attacks is more important in the context of Max Battles, as a major chunk of your damage comes from super-effective Max Moves—whose type corresponds to that of your Fast Attack.

Here are the best counters to Pokemon GO Sobble Max Battles, along with their recommended movesets:

  • Dynamax Bulbasaur with Vine Whip (Max Overgrowth) and Power Whip
  • Dyanamax Ivysaur with Vine Whip (Max Overgrowth) and Power Whip
  • Dynamax Venusaur with Vine Whip (Max Overgrowth) and Frenzy Plant
  • Dynamax Grookey with Razor Leaf (Max Overgrowth) and Grass Knot
  • Dynamax Thwackey with Razor Leaf (Max Overgrowth) and Grass Knot

  • Weather boosted (Rainy): 724 - 783 CP CP at level 25 (10/10/10 - 15/15/15 IVs)
