Pokemon TCG Pocket: Genetic Apex packs explored
Pokemon TCG Pocket is the next step of the franchise's iconic trading card game. Taking the already-established format and making some minor tweaks to the gameplay to make it quicker for mobile gamers, Pocket also features returning cards from the physical card game, as well as some brilliantly reimagined artwork for new cards.
Though the game will not be released until October 30, 2024, a lot of information has come out regarding the upcoming title. Particularly, the first expansion the game will release with, Genetic Apex, has finally been fully showcased. Here is everything about Genetic Apex and what it has to offer for battlers and collectors alike.
Everything to know about Pokemon TCG Pocket's Genetic Apex
In original trailers, the Genetic Apex packs were shown to have some of the most popular Kanto Pokemon from the first generation, like Mewtwo, Pikachu, and Charizard. However, it has been confirmed that Pokemon TCG Pocket's Genetic Apex expansion will feature all 151 Kanto Pokemon, as well as others from various regions.

In total, Genetic Apex will offer 286 cards. These cards can be found in booster packs containing five cards each. Thankfully, it has been confirmed that players will be able to earn at least two booster packs for free per day. These booster packs will come in three varieties: Pikachu, Charizard, or Mewtwo.
These three types of booster packs have their own set of cards from the Genetic Apex expansion that they will contain. Each of these three packs will host around 80 exclusive cards, so players must take an even spread of the three if allowed to choose.
