Pokemon TCG Pocket Immersive Cards: Available cards and how to get them

Pokemon TCG Pocket brings Immersive Cards into the mix - giving you a unique way to experience the card/Pokemon you pull from the pack. The expansion available currently, Genetic Apex, has a small handful of such cards that you can collect, provided you are lucky or simply tenacious.

The developers described the Immersive Cards as something that "will make you feel as though you’ve leapt into the world of the card’s illustration." Masterfully illustrated, these will surely be prized possessions in-game, even though digital.

All Pokemon TCG Pocket Immersive Cards and how to get them

You can get Immersive Cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket by opening Booster Packs (provided you are lucky) and buying them using Pack Points. For the former, the Immersive Cards boast a 3-star rarity, meaning it might be a while before you land one. Meanwhile, the latter is a guaranteed approach, but it will require quite a lot of grinding to amass the required Pack Points, which you get from opening Booster Packs.

The Pokemon Company will likely launch further Immersive Cards down the line with newer packs, expansions, or events. The ongoing Wonder Pick Event Part 1 saw the debut of two new Promo Cards - Chansey and Meowth.

Do keep in mind that Immersive Cards are mere visual spectacles and do not provide any added bonus or differences in battle. The moves, energy requirements, HP, and other details remain the same. Rather, the animation provides a background or context to the illustration on the card and the Pokemon depicted.

Pokemon TCG Pocket has been met with a positive response from the community, with over 10 million downloads already achieved within two days of launch. The game provides a more streamlined experience of the popular physical TCG. Apart from collecting cards and battling opponents, trainers also get to complete a variety of missions for in-game item rewards.

The first Pokemon TCG Pocket event (Wonder Pick Event Part 1) is also currently live in-game. Two new Promo Cards (Meowth and Chansey) made their debuts with it.
