Competitive players might want to know about the Pokemon TCG Pocket meta decks that are currently dominating the PvP scene in November 2024. The current meta is heavily dominated by some specific decks that can be a nightmare for casual and beginner players. Having released just a few days ago, these decks have already proved powerful and can sweep opponents if set correctly.

These decks rely on the element of luck to some extent, but their win rate is decent in most scenarios. In this article, we will explain the Pokemon TCG Pocket meta decks for November 2024. We will look at the deck archetypes currently at the top, and why they are a force to be reckoned with.

Best Pokemon TCG Pocket meta decks in November 2024

Although the game is new and was released just a few days back, the Pokemon TCG Pocket meta is not volatile at all. Instead, players have already found decks that surpass the others, despite each relying on different playstyles and strategies. Some are based a little bit on luck, whereas others need interactive plays or support from other cards.

Currently, three particular Pokemon TCG Pocket meta decks are dominating matches in November 2024:

  • Mewtwo ex deck (with Gardevoir)
  • Articuno ex deck (High roller deck with Misty)
  • Pikachu ex deck

All three decks are very powerful right now and require different playstyles. Here is a brief explanation of why these decks are smashing it in the PvP scene:

Mewtwo ex deck with Gardevoir

Mewtwo ex is a well-balanced card that boasts decent stats all around. What makes this an absolute threat is when there is a Gardevoir in the bench with Mewtwo ex being on the active slot.

This deck's main strategy is to let Mewtwo ex use Psydrive with four energy every attack turn using Gardevoir's ability Psyshadow. With 150 damage, this will one-shot most cards out there, apart from some super-tanky ones like Venusaur ex, for example.

A Mewtwo ex deck is arguably the best Pokemon TCG Pocket meta deck in November 2024, and there is very little anyone can do to stall or defeat this once fully set up.

Articuno ex deck with Misty (High roller deck)

This is a particularly annoying deck that can potentially set up its winning condition as early as Round 2 if luck favors it. This card's main attack is Blizzard, which requires three Water-type energy and does 80 damage. However, its salient feature is that it will also do 10 damage to all of your benched cards.

With Misty, if you manage to get at least two heads in the coin toss (high roll), you can start spamming Blizzard from Round 2 and destroy your opponent before they even get a chance to set up.

Setting up a 140 HP ex card with a backline-destroying ability is extremely broken, and there is not much you can do to counter this if your opponent gets a high roll on Misty early on in the game. As such, it is one of the best Pokemon TCG Pocket meta decks during November 2024, although a very annoying one to play against.

Pikachu ex deck

The Pikachu ex deck is a more balanced option, although it is more aggressive as well. Ideally, you can start dealing 90 damage per hit right from Round 3 if your bench is full of Lightning-type cards. Put in cards like Voltorb and Electrode, Pikachu, and Zapdos (normal or ex) to complete the bench, and then it's just a matter of using supports to keep Pikachu ex alive.

While it is not the most tanky of decks, it relies on careful stratification and requires a more interactive playstyle as compared to the other two entries here. As long as you can get a Pikachu ex in Round 1 or 2, this deck will do well against most other types.

As such, the Pikachu ex deck is the most balanced option amongst all those currently dominating the Pokemon TCG Pocket meta in November 2024.
