Beginning on September 24, 2024, the Pokemon TCG Stellar Crown Showdown miniseries, hosted by Geek & Sundry, will allow fans to watch celebrity guests discuss their lives and careers while enjoying the Trading Card Game and its new Stellar Crown expansion.
The Pokemon TCG Stellar Crown Showdown will take place over three weeks, featuring three different celebrity guests each week, and will be hosted by Geek & Sundry's Alison Mattingly. The digital series can be viewed online at fans' convenience.

The Pokemon TCG Stellar Crown Showdown is a co-venture between Geek & Sundry and The Pokemon Company. All of the miniseries' episodes will be uploaded on the official Geek & Sundry YouTube channel.
If The Pokemon Company aims to re-upload these episodes elsewhere at a later date, it has made no announcements or declarations of the sort yet.
Pokemon TCG Stellar Crown Showdown schedule premise and celebrity guests
As previously mentioned, the Stellar Crown Showdown's first episode will air on September 24, 2024. Subsequent episodes will air on October 1, 2024, and then October 8, 2024.
In each episode, a different celebrity guest will play the TCG with Allison Mattingly while enjoying a conversation about their experiences.
The first episode of the miniseries will feature Terry Crews (Idiocracy, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Expendables). On October 1, fans can tune in and enjoy the musings of Jacob Batalon (Spider-Man: Homecoming/Far From Home/No Way Home). On October 8, Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine, Zombieland, Signs) will be taking the guest's chair for a friendly Pokemon battle.
Each episode of the miniseries will air on its respective date at 12:00 pm Pacific Time. Each upload will remain on Geek & Sundry's YouTube channel after the miniseries concludes.
What is the Pokemon TCG's Stellar Crown expansion?
Released in English on September 13, 2024, Stellar Crown is the seventh expansion in the Scarlet and Violet era of the Pocket Monsters TCG, reflecting many aspects of its Japanese counterpart, Stellar Miracle. It is heavily themed around the Terastal Phenomenon from the Scarlet and Violet video games and features the legendary Terapagos as its mascot.
The expansion also debuts the Stellar Tera Type for the first time in the trading card game in the form of Stellar Tera Pokemon ex. Primary expansion mechanics include introducing powerful new gem-themed moves for the Stellar Tera Pokemon ex, as well as adding trainer cards that can help ease the hefty burden of these moves' three-energy cost.
In total, the expansion includes three ACE SPEC trainer cards, four Stellar Pokemon ex cards, 10 Pokemon ex cards, 13 Illustration Rare cards, six Special Illustration Rare cards, and three Hyper Rare cards that are gold in color. All in all, it is another solid extension to the ongoing TCG meta, and the freshly introduced Stellar Pokemon ex should provide interesting new ways to strategize.
