Pokemon GO December Community Day 2024 takes place on Saturday, December 21, and Sunday, December 22, 2024. Creatures from January to June CDs will be highlighted on the first day and ones from July to November CDs will appear more often on the second day. This is likely to raise the question: Saturday or Sunday? Which day should you choose to play — assuming you can show up for only one?
Saturday features rarer and more competitively viable creatures, and therefore, if you can play on only one day, December 21 will give you the best value for your time.

Saturday, December 21, has the best Pokemon GO December Community Day 2024 spawns
Between 2-5 pm on December 21 and 22, 2024, you will find the following creatures spawning in large numbers in the wild. They will have Community Day shiny rates.

Except for Chansey and Bounsweet, every creature featured on Saturday is either rare or highly competitively viable. Rowlet and Litten rarely ever appear in the wild, making them fine beasts to chase. They both also have incredible shinies — this makes up for their relatively uselessness in PvP and PvE arenas.
Bellsprout is fairly common, but Victreebel is a creature worth chasing as getting high-rank IVs for it can help you turn the tide of close matchups. Goomy is rare and has a very nice-looking shiny. Goodra — its final evolution stage — is a meta Dragon in the Great League and the Ultra League.
In comparison, Mankey can be found everywhere all the time, thanks to the incessant Kanto spawns. All you need is a couple of Elite TMs to make a competitively viable Primeape or Annihilape.
Both forms of Ponyta, Sewaddle, and Tynamo are not worth chasing unless you are specifically looking for their shinies. Popplio is the only good Sunday pick.
