5) Rapidash

In Pokemon TCG Pocket, Rapidash may not seem great at first glance, given its only attack deals 40 damage. However, it has the potential to establish a strong early game.

Both Rapidash and its pre-evolved form only require one energy to both retreat and deal damage. Rapidash's HP of 100 also allows it to take a few hits from some weaker cards to buy some time.

Additionally, the Blaine Supporter card increases the damage that Rapidash can deal for a turn. This can be helpful for finishing off stronger cards that opponents may switch in while underestimating Rapidash's damage potential.

Though not a game-winner, Rapidash is a solid addition to any Fire deck.

4) Arcanine ex

Arcanine ex has great damaging potential and can often win games by itself if it is supported properly. However, it is one of the few cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket that damages itself whenever it attacks. While its Inferno Onrush attack does an impressive 120 damage, it deals 20 damage to itself whenever it is used, which can quickly add up if the opponent has tanky cards.

Of course, with Arcanine taking damage on every turn, it is hard to justify using it on most standard Fire decks. This is thanks to the ex rule, which forfeits two points to the opponent whenever an ex card reaches 0 HP.

If better healing cards get added to the game in the future, Arcanine ex is more than capable of making a serious comeback.

3) Flareon

Flareon is one of the strongest Fire-type cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket, thanks to how easy it is to recharge. Like a lot of other strong attacks in the game, Flareon's Flamethrower consumes one Fire energy when used. Since it consumes one energy and not two, players can keep giving energy to the creature, allowing it to fire off 110 damage each turn.

Flareon also has the advantage of being a Stage 1 evolution rather than a Stage 2 one, like other potent damage dealers. This allows players to get it into battle quickly compared to popular aces like Venusaur and Charizard.

However, Flareon does have the disadvantage of not being compatible with Moltres ex's Inferno Dance until it evolves from Eevee.

Charizard ex is one of the best battlers in Pokemon TCG Pocket. This is thanks to its Crimson Storm ability having a base damage of 200, which is strong enough to take down any card in the game. Unlike other creatures capable of dealing this level of damage, there is no luck involved. However, two Fire energies are consumed.

Being a three-stage evolution, it can be very easy to build up Charizard in the background, most frequently through Moltres' Inferno Dance. It can be a bit costly without proper support, but with the limited sizes of decks, it is incredibly easy to get the card on the field.

1) Moltres ex

Moltres ex is a staple of any serious Fire-type deck in Pokemon TCG Pocket. Thanks to its Inferno Dance move costing only one Fire energy, players can easily win a match from their starting hand by pulling Moltres ex and another basic Fire-type Pokemon.

While its damage is a bit lower than some would like, Moltres is still an incredibly helpful choice for early-game play. It works best as a tank to sponge damage from weaker opening Pokemon, supporting other Fire-type cards in the background and then switching to the real damage carries in the deck to clean up.
