What recent Game Freak Pokemon Leaks say about Legends Z-A
Pokemon Legends Z-A is the next installment in the Pokemon series and a return to the Legends format players have come to love in the recent Pokemon Legends Arceus game. Many fans of the franchise have likely heard about the massive Game Freak Teraleak, which sheds light on many aspects of upcoming projects.
Given the sheer scale of this leak, and considering that information is still being translated and formatted, news about the upcoming Legends Z-A title can be quickly drowned out on social media. Here is some summarized information regarding the upcoming game as per the leaks.
Note: This article is based on leaks and readers are advised to take the information with a pinch of salt.
Everything to know about Pokemon Legends Z-A from the Game Freak Teraleak
Information from the leaks states that Game Freak initially intended to release Legends Z-A in 2024. Given the release pattern of recent Pokemon titles, if Game Freak followed through on this release date, we would likely have received this game in November 2024. However, the developers chose to delay the game for a 2025 release.
This was most likely a decision made following the reception for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, two games that were notoriously buggy and unfinished during launch. Given the loud public outcry about the state of these games, Game Freak may have delayed the title to hopefully iron out bugs and performance issues and not just to appease online fans.
More Mega Evolutions are also confirmed to be coming to the game, with the leaks specifically mentioning Zygarde and Zeraora. If these creatures are getting new Mega Evolutions, it would be safe to assume that other new Mega Evolutions will be added to the game as well.

What could Pokemon Legends Z-A's starters be?
There seems to be little information released from a reliable source in regards to Pokemon Legends Z-A. While there has been tons of information claiming to be official leaks released online, like the game's respective Starter Pokemon, the details vary depending on the source.
Reputable leaker, Riddler_Khu on X, known for releasing their leaks in riddles rather than outright sharing the information, has given the community hints on the Starter Pokemon through a recent post. Fans have interpreted these numbers as representing the respective generations each starter debuted in.
If this is to be believed, the Starter Pokemon will be from the Hoenn, Unova, and Galar regions. Since Oshawott was in Legends Arceus, we can safely assume that the Water-type starter will not be Oshawott, so we can cross it off the list. Swampert already has a Mega Evolution, so the Water starter for Legends Z-A might be Inteleon.
It is important to remember that nothing about these games is official until the details come from Game Freak or The Pokemon Company themselves.
