When is Hatterene coming in Pokemon GO?

Pokemon GO has been taking strides in introducing more Galar region species during the Max Out season, but when is the Hatterene making its debut? As Hatenna's final evolution, Hatterene is slated to be released at the same time as its prior evolutions: during the Psychic Spectacular 2024 event beginning on September 18, 2024, at 10:00 am local time.

From the date above until September 22, 2024, at 8:00 pm local time, Pokemon GO players should have an easier time finding Hatenna during its Psychic Spectacular debut. This makes the process of evolving Hatenna into Hattrem and then Hatterene substantially easier than it likely would be during ordinary gameplay.

Since Hatterene is making its debut in Pokemon GO in one week, it doesn't hurt to examine what is known about the creature so far in Niantic's mobile title.

While all the details surrounding Hatterene in Pokemon GO have yet to come to light, enough data is available to examine what it will look like when it arrives.

Much like the core series, Hatterene will be a Psychic/Fairy-type Pokemon and the final evolution of Hatenna. The latter will require 25 candies to evolve into Hattrem before being fed another 100 candies to evolve into Hatterene.

Hatterene's base stats are currently projected to be 237 Attack, 182 Defense, and 149 with a maximum Combat Power (CP) of 3,198. It will receive a Weather Boost from windy or cloudy weather. All Hatterene, much like Hatenna/Hattrem, are female.

Based on initial information, Hatterene will be able to choose to learn one of three different Fast Moves and up to two of four different Charged Moves:

Fast Moves

  • Psycho Cut
  • Confusion
  • Charm

Charged Moves

  • Dazzling Gleam
  • Power Whip
  • Psychic
  • Psyshock

Moreover, as a Psychic/Fairy-type in Pokemon GO, Hatterene is weak to Ghost, Poison, and Steel-type attacks. Meanwhile, it will resist and reduce the damage of Dragon, Fighting, and Psychic-type attacks.

Based on its stats and potential movesets, Hatterene should be a decent attacker in some low-stakes PvE situations but lacks the defensive stats or HP to move the meta much in PvP.

It should also be noted that when it first debuts during the Psychic Spectacular event, Hatterene will only be obtainable via evolution.

Trainers will have to catch Hatenna in the wild, via Field and Paid Timed Research, completing Psychic Spectacular's Collection Challenge, or hatching 7km eggs. However, Hatterene may be made available outside of evolution later on.
