"Why is this a part of the game": Pokemon GO player on Max Particle mechanic
Pokemon GO's Dynamax feature has received mixed reactions from the community. While the new Max Battles are a great form of new content in the mobile game, it seems like these fights have been detrimental to the game. From requiring trainers to catch entirely new Pokemon to participate to the new difficulty spike with Gigantamax raids, the feature has its share of controversy.
User delicatestrings has made a post on the Pokemon GO subreddit starting a conversation regarding the maximum limit of Max Particles players can collect in a day. Players require these Max Particles to enter Max Battles, so imposing a limit on the amount a player can collect would not make sense from the consumer's standpoint.
Note: Some aspects of this article are subjective and solely rely on the writer's opinion.
In their post, they explained how they were 100 particles away from completing their Halloween Research task. However, the limit on the amount of particles players can collect stopped them. This brings up the question of why the limit even existed in the first place.
As many users in the thread pointed out, the reason for this is so Niantic can make money off of players wanting to invest more time in these Max Battles. While there is a limit on the amount of Max Particles players can collect for free in a day, Niantic always gives players the choice to purchase more from the in-game store.
With Gigantamax Raids being the most difficult yet, some trainers find these Max Particles entirely useless. Thanks to Dynamax Pokemon being exclusive to Max Battles, trainers in rural areas will likely not get to experience this content at all. Thanks to Max Particles, Remote Raid Passes cannot be used to participate in these fights, excluding entire communities from this aspect of the game.

How Niantic should fix Max Battles in Pokemon GO
The best way to fix a lot of the issues with Max Battle content in Pokemon GO would be to allow players to complete them remotely. While allowing the use of Remote Raid Passes would be the easiest thing to do, Niantic could also increase the amount of Max Particles players are required to spend in order to participate in these battles in order to attempt them remotely.
Since Niantic makes money by collecting and selling player location data, remote raiding is something the developers have been gradually trying to phase out of Pokemon GO since late 2021. With this in mind, it is unlikely that Niantic will ever make this change, despite it incentivizing more players to purchase Max Particles from the store.
