People magazine recently obtained the legal documents, revealing that the pair have decided to split due to irreconcilable differences. The divorce filing by Foster also disclosed that they separated in September last year and requested the court to equally divide the marital assets and debt based on a prenuptial agreement.

Ben Foster even told the court to add the marital dissolution agreement and agreed parenting plan to the divorce settlement. Apart from the legal fees, the remaining costs would be equally split between both parties. The divorce was filed on September 9, 2024.

According to Us Weekly, Ben Foster and Laura Prepon shared a close friendship ever since they were teenagers. They were captured going out for dinner in July 2016 and made their first appearance on the red carpet as a couple during the premiere of Girl on the Train in October of the same year. The duo's engagement was also confirmed at the time while Prepon flaunted her ring.

Also known as Benjamin A. Foster, he had a successful journey in Hollywood over the years. He portrayed different characters that have become famous among the audience, including Angel in X-Men: The Last Stand.
