"Is it because they supply his orange makeup?" - Netizens react as TikTok on Sephora allegedly donating to Donald Trump campaign goes viral
On November 10, a video surfaced online claiming cosmetics brand Sephora allegedly donated to Donald Trump’s campaign. It was shared by TikTok user @karriemarie4 and was headlined, “Let’s see who did and DID NOT make donations to the Trump campaign…”

“I HOPE we all understand the assignment for this Christmas season.”
Sephora is a French multinational beauty and personal care retailer owned by luxury conglomerate LVMH. According to Opensecrets.org, LVMH itself did not contribute to the 2024 election. However, the parent company’s individual members, employees, owners, or their family members contributed to Kamala Harris’ campaign.
While they also donated to Republicans, none has been directly linked to Donald Trump’s campaign.
Regardless, the internet has shared varied reactions to the viral TikTok’s claim about Sephora reportedly donating to Donald Trump’s campaign. For instance, TikTok user @BreezePSCD commented on the post by writing:
“I told my hubby Sephora was a big donor and he said is it because they supply his orange makeup?”
Many joined the conversation and shared similar reactions on X.

“Finding out Sephora donated to Trump campaigns is just… every day gets worse,” one person wrote.
“You know what absolutely kills me? @Sephora shoving beauty standards down women’s throats so we spend money on their pointless products just for them to turn around and donate THOUSANDS of dollars to the Trump campaign. WOMEN STOP SUPPORTING THIS WOLF IN SHEEP’S CLOTHING,” wrote another.
Others continued to criticize Sephora and even called for its boycott.
“I’m sorry what?? @Sephora you donated millions to #trump!?! Oh f*ck no #boycott #Presidentialelection,” a netizen wrote.
“Just feel like you should know that Ulta rewards were always better. Now that you’ve been exposed as a corporate funder of Trump, we are done. Rouge be d*mned, @Sephora,” one netizen wrote.
“I just had to empty my Sephora cart of $500 to go buy everything from Nordstrom because apparently Sephora was a hugeeee donator to the Trump campaign? Oop,” an individual wrote.
“Lol Sephora was the least shocking, I worked there before and all the rumors are true,” wrote another.
