"Are they still there?" — Trump roasted by netizens over post about "beautiful evening in Coachella" amid reports of attendees stranded
Netizens were left disappointed by Donald Trump's post about Coachella amid multiple reports of MAGA supporters being left stranded at the venue in California after the former President's rally on Saturday, October 12, 2024.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on October 13, Trump thanked his supporters for a beautiful evening in Coachella. The post also included a clip featuring his speech and the massive crowd at the venue. He wrote:
"A beautiful evening in Coachella, California last night. Thank you!"
Fans took to X to criticize the former President for reportedly leaving his supporters stranded at the venue. As per reports by The Tennessee Holder, Trump only provided bus rides one way during the rally and did not make arrangements for his supporters to return. An X user took a sarcastic jibe at the MAGA leader's X post on Coachella and wrote:
"Are they still there?"
"This is how it ended…tRump and his minions left people stranded…tRump only cares about the money 💴 you fools donated…tRump will go to Prison for life…when he loses in a landslide…CALIFORNIA HATES TRUMP…," another user added.
"A horrible evening for your supporters. Republicans, wake up. This is exactly what you're signing up for if you elect this convicted felon and proven liar. He doesn't give a damn about you, not one bit. All he wants is your vote, nothing more. When will you realize this? What will it take before it's too late?," a netizen commented.
"Yea he left and didn’t care. What’s being said is the campaign promise to pay for busses didn’t go through. Good job loser," a person chimed in.
Fans continued to share videos and photos from Saturday night, claiming supporters were left stranded five miles from their cars with no transportation.
"Shame on you ya con artist," an individual mentioned.
"People are saying you left them in the desert to die. No wonder people leave early," another X user wrote.
"If you don’t care enough to get your followers home, then you don’t care about anyone," another fan criticized.
As per multiple reports, Trump made arrangements for thousands of his supporters to travel to a remote location in California five miles from parking to attend his rally. However, thousands were left stranded at the venue as vehicles did not return to transport them back to the parking lot.

According to The Tennessee Holder, thousands of attendees of Trump's rally on October 12 were left stranded at night after busses brought them five miles away from the parking lot at the venue, but did not arrive to transport them back.
As per a viral video shared on social media, one of the attendees of the rally said:
“This isn’t normal. Apparently, the buses are no longer coming. Or at least there used to be like 20 buses when we were being brought here. But now there’s only like three buses operating, and it’s an absolute… It’s just chaos, absolute chaos. All of us are stranded here. Everyone’s stranded here. Everyone is starting to freak out... The parking lot is a two-hour walk."
In a series of deleted posts by X user @WesleyXJohnson, it was claimed that there was "only one bus in rotation" while the turnaround time for each ride was 30 minutes. Johnson also noted that there were originally 20-30 buses at the event. His posts were later circulated online via screenshots posted by other users.
Johnson also claimed that fuel reserves for the buses were "completely depleted or never refilled" before the rally. The user added that buses had to drive 30 minutes in search of fuel and many drivers were left stranded due to the lack of fuel.
As per Johnson, bus drivers gave the following information to the attendees:
“Then the CHP ordered the bus drivers to stop driving. This all came from the bus drivers updating us as we sat on the bus asking what happened. They and the Sheriffs were all just as confused as we were. My story stands, but the drama got out of hand.”
Johnson also explained why he deleted his initial posts, claiming he was hoping for some "help" by posting the information but it only accelerated the "drama." Multiple videos of rally attendees being left stranded at the venue were circulated and posted via TikTok.
According to The Desert Sun, Riverside Country limited the capacity of the Coachella rally to a maximum of 15,000 people. However, the former President claimed it was attended by 100,000 people.
The co-founder of the anti-Trump Lincoln Project, Reed Galen, criticized the MAGA leader on social media, claiming the former President cared "so little about his MAGA fans" that he only gave them a one-way ride to his "clown show."
The Republican leader or his associates are yet to comment on the matter.
