Internet sensation Moo Deng, the baby pygmy hippo from Thailand, has cast her vote in the 2024 U.S. Presidential election. On November 4, a video from her residence, Khao Kheow Open Zoo, was shared, in which she declared her endorsement for the Republican candidate Donald Trump.
In a playful attempt to predict who would win the election, the zookeepers in Thailand's Chonburi province arranged two fruit platters.
One had Trump's name carved on a watermelon in their regional language, and the other had Democratic contender Kamala Harris' name on it.
The video shows the nearly four-month-old Moo Deng and another bigger hippo emerging from the water. The baby hippo walked towards the fruit platter that had Trump's name and started eating from it while the other hippo ate from the other platter.
The comedic prediction soon made the rounds on social media, spurring reactions from netizens. One X user shared an AI-generated image of Donald Trump hugging the baby hippo under Pop Base's post on the news and wrote:
