Did Chris Evans join OnlyFans? Viral tweet claim debunked
Claims of Chris Evans creating an OnlyFans account have spread rapidly on X. This comes after a screenshot claiming that the actor had posted 41 pictures went viral online.
On November 15, X page @DropPopNet took to their official social media page to share an image of Meghan Markle alongside a screenshot of what seems to be the actor’s supposed adult entertainment website page. The page showed two images of the performer alongside his dog with a bio that read:
“Join me for a peek into my life and daily frontal pictures ;)”
In the upcoming tweet, the X page shared that Chris Evans’ page was charging $30 to those subscribing to his page.
The original tweet regarding the page had amassed nearly eight million views at the time of writing this article.
Despite it appearing as if the Captain America actor had certainly created a page of his own on the website, it is worth noting that the claims are not true. They originated from an X page that specializes in satirical news.
Meanwhile, the actor has been celebrating his latest movie, Red One, rounding up $3.7 million in previews.
Chris Evans did not create an OnlyFans page
As per DropPopNet’s bio on X, they upload content that is purely satirical in nature. This would mean that the posts they publish online are not factual. The bio read:
“Parody account, everything posted on the account is satirical and for humorous purposes, our posts are not meant to be taken seriously. DM for removal, inquiries, etc…. (Owned by POCs).”
The page also claimed to share “breaking news” regarding celebrities, including “exclusive behind-the-scenes insights.”
Furthermore, X’s community notes also confirmed that the claims are not true. They wrote online:
“No. Chris Evans has not joined OnlyFans. It is not the first time this account has posted this “news” If you search on Google “Chris Evans has joined OnlyFans,” you will find that it was posted in July and September but was deleted And it is not their first fake news.”
DropPopNet has been flagged multiple times by X and publications like Forbes for sharing satirical content online. Recently, the page went viral for reporting on a non-existent feud between Lana Del Rey and Lizzo.
Chris Evans had not responded to the fake reports at the time of writing this article.
