"Eminem dissed Diddy his whole career. You were friends with him"—Internet reacts as Elon Musk claims rapper was a Diddy party participant
Elon Musk took to X to seemingly diss Eminem after it was announced that the latter would be introducing former president Barack Obama at Kamala Harris’ Detroit campaign rally. The entrepreneur attempted to associate the rapper with singer Sean “Diddy” Combs. This comes after Combs was arrested for facing s*x trafficking and pr*stitution charges.
The announcement of Eminem introducing the former Potus was made shortly before the event was to take place. An X page @AutismCapital shared a screenshot of an article with the headline that read, “EMINEM OBAMA, WELCOME TO THE MOTOR CITY!!! Set To Introduce Fmr. Prez At Harris Rally”
In response to the same, Elon Musk wrote on October 22:
“Yet another Diddy party participant”
It appears as if the Tesla founder was trying to claim that Lose Yourself singer took part in Diddy’s infamous “Freak Off” parties, where several alleged victims were physically and s*xually assaulted after being drugged with compromised baby oil.
Internet users then began speculating as to whether Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, had associated himself with Diddy. Others also took to sharing their thoughts about Elon Musk online. Some reactions to Musk’s statement read:
"Eminem dissed Diddy his entire career. You were friends with him," an X user said.
"Eminem is compromised!! Not only a Diddy participant, also an Epstein associate. Google Rachel Chandler and Eminem," another platform user conspired.
"Yet you are right again ! They are terrified of the Diddy and Epstein party list reveal . Which will have its day in Court ! Vote for Trump, America ! Thank you for fighting for the Truth, @elonmusk!," a netizen said.
It is worth noting that Eminem has been one of Puff Daddy’s vocal critics. In the former’s Machine Gun Kelly 2018 diss-track titled Killshot, Mathers rapped, “Kells, the day you put out a hit is the day Diddy admits that he put the hit out that got Pac killed.”
Meanwhile, other fan reactions read:
"Been dissing Diddy since '96 but okay," an X user said.
"Actually Eminem dislikes Diddy a lot! I can’t stand his politics but he expose Diddy," another netizen said.
"Eminem is going to drop an Elon Musket diss track," a platform user said.
Moreover, Mathers was not mentioned in any of the Freak Off party guest lists that had made it to the internet, following Diddy’s arrest. It is important to note that the list was not released by official sources. However, the claims were quick to go viral, with many discussing the celebrities Diddy reportedly associated himself with, including Oprah Winfrey, Ashton Kutcher, Beyoncé, and Jay-Z, among others.
Eminem endorses Kamala Harris at Detroit rally and encourages citizens to vote
On October 22, 2024, Mathers not only introduced Barack Obama on stage but the latter also rapped in front of a large Detroit, Michigan, crowd where they extended support to the Harris-Walz 2024 presidential campaign.
Prior to Barack Obama taking the stage, Mathers said:
“I’m here tonight for a couple of reasons. As most of you know, the city of Detroit and my home state of Michigan mean a lot to me. Going into this election, the spotlight is on us more than ever and I think it’s important to use your voice. So, I’m encouraging everyone to get out and vote please.”
The rapper, who also went by the moniker of Slim Shady. added:
“I also think that people shouldn’t be afraid to express their opinions, and I don’t think anyone wants an America where people are worried about retribution or what people would do if you make your opinion known. I think Vice President Harris supports a future of this country, where this freedom and many others will be protected and upheld.”
Obama then took the stage and broke out into rapping the singer's hit track Lose Yourself.
It comes as a surprise that Musk was seemingly dissing Mathers for allegedly being associated with Diddy as the Tesla CEO himself claimed in the past that he was close friends with the Bad Boy Records mogul. Hot New Hip Hop reported that Musk once said:
“I don’t know if you know this but Puff is an investor in Twitter. You know, he’s a good friend of mine. We text a lot.”
Mathers had not publicly responded to Musk’s tweet at the time of writing this article.
