"Even CNN isn’t having it"- Internet reacts to Anderson Cooper fact-checking Kamala Harris on Trump's border wall question

American broadcaster and political journalist Anderson Cooper and Vice President Kamala Harris talked about the immigration policies of the Biden-Harris administration during the CNN town hall on Wednesday, October 23. One of the major talking points of the discussion was Anderson Cooper fact-checking Harris on the Donald Trump border wall issue.

Cooper inquired whether Harris supported the idea of a 'border wall' as she has previously claimed to be pro-border security. He also reminded Harris that the Democrat supremo had earlier referred to the idea of the border wall as a "medieval vanity project" during a January 2019 CNN town hall at Drake University.

Thereafter, Cooper brought up the fact that Kamala Harris had agreed to a bill allocating $650 million to continue building the wall. After seeming to hesitate, Kamala explained that she wanted to strengthen the border security. However, she had a problem with Donald Trump's method of doing it, opining that his plan didn't make enough sense.

Netizens online were quick to hop on to X and make fun of Kamala Harris after watching the video. Some people thought the interview was poorly received, while others praised Anderson Cooper's journalism.

"That Xanax and vodka was a bad idea, even CNN isn’t having it," wrote a viewer on X.
"It’s like watching a car crash in slow motion!" pointed out another.
"I'm convinced that laughter is just a nervous tick," declared one user on X.

One fan praised Anderson Cooper, writing:

"Kamala Harris painted herself into a corner and Anderson Cooper got her good on the border wall. Well done!"
"Cooper fact-checking Kamala? On CNN? Again?! What is happening? Get hell on the phone, I need to know if it’s actually frozen over," tweeted a netizen.

Some netizens also supported the Democratic candidate on X.

"Meanwhile Trump is MIA from any network town halls or interviews. That explains why we are all watching Kamala Harris cook," noted one user.
"I’m not a fan of hers, but everything she said was on point. She’s open to legal migration and she wants to strengthen the border. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a wall. This isn’t the gotcha moment that you think it is," a netizen commented.
