Miss Universe Philippines Chelsea Manalo recently posted a photo of herself dressed as Princess Tiana for Halloween, causing netizens to erupt in appreciation on social media. Princess Tiana is the protagonist of the animated film Princess and the Frog.
For the photoshoot, the 25-year-old boasted a light green tube gown with a plethora of roses stitched to the waistline. She complimented her dress with a pair of similarly colored gloves and a golden crown. In terms of makeup, Chelsea Manalo went with red lipstick and minimalistic earrings. She also emphasised on her eye makeup to complete the ensemble.
“Channeling my inner Princess Tiana. The journey has been magical, and with your support, we can make dreams come true. Don’t forget to cast your votes and help me reach for the crown!” wrote Chelsea Manalo in the caption of her Instagram post.

Miss Universe Philippines Chelsea Manalo has advocated for several causes in the past
Chelsea Manalo won the title of Miss Universe Philippines 2024 on May 22 and will now represent the Philippines at Miss Universe in Mexico. The 25-year-old lost her father at a very young age and was only 14 when she pursued her career as a model.
Since childhood, Chelsea Manalo has been a strong advocate of body positivity. She has opened up multiple times about her past struggles with stigmas like racism. Manalo is also a part of an organization called Kids for Kids which helps provide safety to children in backward and remote areas.
She supports the development of the Dumagat people residing in Norzagaray, Bulacan, i.e., her native place. The 25-year-old talked about her penchant for standing up to social causes during her participation in Miss Universe Philippines 2024.
After talking about the support of her parents, Chelsea Manalo detailed her aspirations if she won the title.
"I have the relatability to be influential to a lot of people with the voice and with the action that I am most passionate about. It will open so many opportunities for me so that I can be a change for our nation," she said.
Furthermore, Manalo is a big animal lover and often posts pictures with them on her Instagram. Her love for nature was manifested in the national costume competition during Miss Universe Philippines 2024. The 25-year-old chose to wear a dress inspired by trees and birds found in the Philippines.
Mega Magazine has touted Manalo to win the Miss Universe 2024 title this year, stating that her determination to stand up against discrimination and other social causes would bring a revolution.
