The recent death of Uncle Ron, a former celebrity bodyguard who allegedly had ties with Beyoncé, Jay-Z and Diddy has come under scrutiny on social media. On October 24, Facebook user Zamani’s Blog took to the video-sharing platform to allege that Uncle Ron, whose real name is Ron Smith, was “found dead 24 hours after making a video saying Diddy and Jay Z killed Biggie.” The platform user added:

In a video attached by the Facebook user, which appears to be taken from Uncle Ron’s TikTok account, Uncle Ron said:

“Jay-Z and Diddy wanted Biggie killed bottom line… here’s a man [Biggie] that wanted to leave Bad Boy [Records]. He wanted to do his own thing. He mentioned several times that he was tired of being used and abused, that he was bigger than Bad Boy itself.”

Uncle Ron also alleged:

“Jay-Z wanted him [Biggie] out of the industry, period. So he could take over and be the biggest hip hop artist around and I wonder who is the biggest hip hop artist today? It’s all business, folks.”

As per the Bristol Film Fest website, Ron Smith also alleged that Diddy had approached him in 1997 to carry out the death of Biggie.

What did Uncle Ron say about Beyoncé? Details revealed as claims of former passing away go viral

Back in January 2023, Uncle Ron made headlines for claiming to have “inside information” and “receipts” about Jay-Z and Beyoncé. In one of the videos, he claimed that the couple wanted to “destroy” Keri Hilson’s career.

Uncle Ron then alleged that Beyoncé consumed drugs. While sharing how “hateful” the couple was, he said in a TikTok video:

“Yeah Beyoncé is on drugs, she’s been on them for a long time. And you keep her that way.”

Media Takeout reported that the musician’s team caught up with the allegations being made against the Formation singer, subsequently leading to Uncle Ron deleting his videos about Bey and announcing that he would never speak about the couple again.

Diddy thanked Jay-Z for filling the shoes of Biggie and 2Pac following their deaths

This is not the first time allegations of Combs and Jay-Z being responsible for Biggie’s death have made it online, by netizens. Reddit user u/AwarenessFree4432 took to the r/hiphop101 subreddit a year ago to say:

“Is diddy responsible for biggies death? The news cassie lawsuit has confirmed my suspicions that diddy is a psychopath, psychopath do something called preemptive fighting because subconsciously they foresee conflict maybe he thought one day biggie wud figure out how hes robbing him.”

In 2022, Combs also applauded Jay-Z for filling in Biggie and 2Pac’s shoes following their deaths. While the duo attended a TIDAL event, Combs said during a speech:

“Bro [Jay-Z] you filled them shoes though. You came in and we definitely give thanks. You definitely came, and I just know how much Big really looked up to Jay. They looked up to each other. That is crazy you had to step into the shoes of two people.”

Sean Combs now remains behind bars as he awaits his May 5, 2025 trial date.
