"HE, RIKER, AND RYDEL ALL FOLLOW RFK JR" - Netizens debate over Ross Lynch seemingly being exposed as a Trump supporter
Fans of actor and singer Ross Lynch recently theorized that he is a Donald Trump supporter. The speculation came right after a TikTok video went viral which showed Lynch and his siblings, Riker and Rydel, liking several Instagram posts made by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. endorsing Trump.
Originally posted in Polish on November 9, TikToker @mikrofonsabriny later made a similar post in English and explained why she thinks the Lynch family is a supporter of the President-elect. She shared that not only did Ross and his family follow Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Instagram, but also reacted to his posts on Trump.
RFK Jr. is a politician, environmental lawyer, anti-vaccine activist, and conspiracy theorist who stood in the 2024 election as an independent candidate in certain states. However, throughout the election cycle, he shared his public support for Donald Trump in the race for the White House.
Since Ross’ fans found out he follows RFK Jr on social media, they claimed that the singer reportedly supports the President-elect. For instance, on November 9, X user Mae (@dylanonvinyl) posted “Ross Lynch and his family being Trump supporters was NOT on my 2024 bingo card.”
Later, she replied to one of the comments under her post asking if it was a joke or a lie.
“NO, HE, RIKER, AND RYDEL ALL FOLLOW RFK JR,” Mae wrote.
Many people joined the conversation and shared their reactions on the platform.
“They saying Ross Lynch voted for Trump,” a person wrote.
“That’s definitely a surprising twist, especially considering Ross Lynch's public image and career up until now,” one person wrote.
“Them being white Americans with the last name ‘lynch’ didn’t give y’all a clue?” asked another.
“They seem like the type, sorry,” a user wrote.
Meanwhile, others pointed out how following RFK Jr. on social media in no way indicates that Ross Lynch is a Trump supporter.
“Guys following RFK Jr on Instagram does not equate to supporting Trump! I follow my opps on Instagram, so, I can see what they're doing, it does not mean I support them!” a netizen wrote.
“How does following RFK Jr make you a Trump supporter?” one netizen asked.
“Y’all have got to stop assuming things good gracious. Just bc he follows him doesn’t even mean he supports him or even voted this election!!! Or literally any of them. He’s probably seeing all these tweets laughing honestly,” a fan wrote.
So far, Ross Lynch hasn’t addressed the theory. However, he has not publicly endorsed any candidate for the bygone 2024 presidential election.
