"Hot ones please" — Internet reacts to Kamala Harris reportedly in talks to appear on Joe Rogan's podcast to appeal to male voters

In a surprising twist in the political landscape, Vice President Kamala Harris has reportedly discussed appearing on Joe Rogan's widely popular podcast.

On October 14, 2024, a user on X (@nanditab1) tweeted that information obtained from Jeff Mason, a White House Correspondent for Reuters, suggests that Harris will appear on Rogan's podcast The Joe Rogan Experience, and their teams also met this week.

"SCOOP w/ @jeffmason1. @KamalaHarris could sit down with @joerogan for an interview in the final stretch of the U.S. presidential campaign, three sources said on Monday. Harris campaign officials met with Rogan's team this week, but an appearance has not been confirmed yet, two of the sources said," stated the X user.

Some users on X have speculated about the nature and intensity of the questions Joe Rogan might pose to Kamala Harris during her potential appearance. Several commenters expressed doubts about her ability to handle Rogan's line of questioning effectively.

"Can we guess types of ques Rogan would ask?" one commented.

"Rogan will eat her alive," another on X.

"Don’t think Kamala can handle his questioning," a third said on X.

"This would be an epic mistake. But the entire campaign has been a disaster so I wouldn't rule it out," a netizen commented.

However, other users praised Kamala Harris' potential decision, suggesting it is a strategic step toward engaging with low-propensity young male voters. Some even described it as a "fantastic" move, emphasizing the importance of reaching this demographic.

"Finally some good moves by the campaign - yes people will think this sucks, but she needs to convince low propensity young males to vote for her, very happy with the latest week or so in terms of media planning," one wrote.

"This would be fantastic," a netizen said on X.

"Can't believe Rogan is really the crown jewel for both candidates lol," another commented.

As speculation mounts, Kamala Harris and Joe Rogan's team have yet to confirm that such an appearance is in the works.

According to a recent NBC News poll conducted among a sample of 1,000 registered voters from October 4 to October 8, 2024, Kamala Harris trailed Donald Trump by a margin of 16 points.

Moreover, on the same day, the Vice President introduced new policy ideas aimed at appealing to Black male voters, and her campaign is increasing efforts to connect with this group, who usually vote Democratic, as per Reuters.
